To promote Da Nang as a destination, while enhancing the exchange and introduction of food culture between regions in the country and honor cooks - the main force to create nuances of the culinary culture of Vietnam.
On 22/07/2011, Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center held a competition "Da Nang ‘s 3rd open excellent cooks - 2011". This is not only a cultural – tourism event to honor the value of culinary culture in Vietnam and other countries, but also a competition between amateur and professional cooks from all the regions of Vietnam. Candidates bring to the competion the culinary works bearing the national identity of Vietnam, as well as a lively and exciting exchange atmosphere.

1st prize: "Rabbit shape" stuffed chicken & 3 kinds if appetizers (Cook Luong Van Nhi).
3rd prize: "Dragon shape" boneless eel & "Lang Co" style crab spring rolls (Cook Dang Phuong Nam)
Well-displayed prize - Creative Prize: "Bottle groud shape" boneless drum stick (Cook Nguyen Thai Sang)
This is an honor not only for the First Hotel in particular but also carries a great significance for Vietnam cuisine in general to far-reach and contribute a voice for international integration.
